MARIE-MARGUERITE SABONGUI

Marie is an impact producer and content creator. With a background in media, campaigning, and policy, her expertise is in crafting simple, powerful stories and strategies to move target audiences. She is a Sundance Lab alumni and a NYTVF and Participant Media official artist. Her work has been used to move Canadian parliamentarians on refugee sponsorship, and to train activists in non-violence. Previously, she was Chief of Staff of the Purpose Climate Lab, a strategic communications start-up engaging new audiences on climate change. At Purpose, she delivered campaign strategies on a variety of issues for non-profit and foundation clients including the Gates Foundation. Prior to Purpose she worked in international climate communications, including as advisor to the Alliance of Small Island States. Marie-Marguerite also led a successful acting career - starring in projects with Fox and MGM, and directing award-winning theatre. She holds an MPA from Columbia University and a BA in Cultural Studies and International Development from McGill University.
