Angeline Martyn is the Private Sector Advisor for Education Cannot Wait, the United Nations Fund for Education in Emergencies and Protracted Crisis. She is focused on the #222MillionDreams✨📚 Campaign, calling on world leaders to make substantive funding contributions to ECW to help realize the dreams of 222 million children, whose access to education and dreams for the future are disrupted by conflicts, displacement and climate disasters.
Angeline and has spent over 20 years building partnerships with private and public sectors, social movements, and multi-lateral institutions that cross-geographic, thematic and gender lines. She has a deep commitment to ensuring equality is at the heart of immediate and long-term recovery plans with success in engaging the media as well as business, foundations and individuals as transformational partners.
Angeline most recently served as Head, Private Sector Engagement at UN Women and prior to that she also co-launched the first Asia Corporate Engagement Center for Save the Children International and served as a Sr. Director, Global Corporate Partnerships at Save the Children in the US.
Angeline also spent over a decade as Director of Communications & Marketing and in Public Relations roles for global and domestic NGOs focused on women’s health and dignity, from ending sexual and domestic violence to delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled.
Angeline has a Masters in Social Policy from the University of Oxford and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island with a dual degree in Communications Studies and Political Science.
